Battle of Britain Memorial, Dover
calendar04/02/2018The Battle of Britain Memorial Trust extends a warm welcome to those who wish to show their respects to the heroes of the Battle of Britain by visiting this unique site of pilgrimage.
The National Memorial to the Few is a peaceful space, ideal for quiet reflection, atop the famous White Cliffs and offering superb views across the Channel to France. The central statue of a lone pilot is complemented by the Christopher Foxley-Norris Memorial Wall, two replica aircraft and other items of interest.
The Memorial is free to visit and open throughout the year to those on foot. There is a small parking charge to help offset the costs of running the site, which are estimated at around £100,000 a year, a charge to enter The Scramble Experience, which is open from 10am and closes between at 4pm in the winter and 5pm in the summer.
